足迹遍布全球的英国军火承包商莱克斯·沃克尔（克雷格·法布拉斯 Craig Fairbrass 饰）突然得到一个惊人的消息，他唯一的女儿萨曼莎（梅丽莎·奥德维 Melissa Ordway 饰）在好莱坞被人杀害，警方要求他尽快赶到洛杉矶将尸体运回伦敦。脾气暴躁的莱克斯简直不敢相信这个事实，他顶撞试图阻拦他的上司，执意赶往美国。谁知来到当地才发现，死者并非他的女儿，可是萨曼莎也下落不明。通过女儿的通讯记录，他顺藤摸瓜找到一家大型企业。对方老板否认和萨曼莎有过任何瓜葛，惹得莱克斯大闹公司，被警察请到警局。 为了查清女儿的下落，莱克斯凭一己之力走遍这个充满罪恶的华丽都市，真相慢慢浮出水面……
